I had several questions on what one should do to have only one word in your Facebook name. For example: Only have John instead of John Doe. Obviously, it’s very easy to do, but as we will see, it is not as easy as you think.
The “problem” with the Facebook name is that a first name must be followed by a second name, one of which cannot be filled without the other.
But be aware that all that depends only on the country because some tribes or nations do not have a first name or post name.
And Facebook was also willing to adapt to all its conditions while giving the possibility only to those who need it.
How to use a single name on Facebook
To have or display a single name on Facebook, you have to behave like an Indonesian. That is to say, change everything you need on your Facebook account so that it looks roughly like an Indonesian in this case.
- Change the IP address to that of Indonesia.
- Change language in Indonesia
- To change the IP address, you can use a VPN or online proxy. Find one and configure it in your browser.
- Once done, change the language of your Facebook account (in the settings area) by choosing Bahasa Indonesia.
- It could be hard to navigate because Facebook is in a different language. You can click the down arrow to find Pengaturan. This will take you to the settings page, where you should click Sunting and then the Umum column.
- In the new window, remove your last name from Belakang.
- In parameter, Modify your name by filling in only the first name (Depan). Leave the other fields blank.
- Save by clicking on the blue Tinjau Perubahan button.
You now have only one name on Facebook, but it is advisable to define another name along with your real name to make it easier for other people to find you. Watch the video below for a step-by-step process:
