Microsoft Edge Not Working – How to Fix the Problem

Microsoft Edge browser is becoming more and more popular. Several issues may arise when using this browser. It may stop working, websites fail to display correctly, or it cannot start at all.

If you have problems with Microsoft Edge or it keeps acting up, try the following solutions:

Restart the computer

The first thing you should do is restart Windows. This will delete incorrect entries.

Exit Edge Browser via Task Manager

Right-click on a free space on the taskbar and select Task Manager in the context menu.

Now select the process “Microsoft Edge” and click on “End task” at the bottom.

Make sure Microsoft Edge is up to date.

  • Download history
  • Cookies and other website data
  • Cached images and files
  • Less than 4.5MB is shared. Some websites may load more slowly. The next time you call them up.

  • AutoFill form data (including forms and cards)
  • Site Permissions
  • Site Permissions
  • Hosted app data
  • All data of the previous version of Microsoft Edge

You will be offered a time from when the browser data should be deleted. The following are available:

  • Last hour
  • 24 hours
  • 7 days
  • 4 weeks
  • Total time

Repair Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

To repair the browser, it is best to start the Windows 10 settings with the key combination Windows + i. In the “Apps & Features” area, click on  “Microsoft Edge.” Select “change” here. Please select the following:

Repairing
If this app is not working properly, an attempt can be made to repair it. The data in the app remain unaffected.
