MSI has unveiled its new high-end gaming laptops, the MSI GE76 Raider 11UH and 11UG. In its maximum configuration, the Taiwanese manufacturer’s war machine features an Intel Core i9 processor and an RTX 3080 graphics card for performance worthy of a desktop computer.
A robust and bright design
In the tradition of MSI gaming laptops, the GE76 Raider displays an imposing size reflecting their robustness: 2.9 kg on the scale and a thickness of 2.7 cm. The frame, both elegant and rigid, features metal surfaces and corners with worked lines.
The heat dissipation of the MSI GE76 Raider is ensured by numerous ventilation grilles. They are mainly located at the back and on the sides. A honeycomb-type ventilation grill is placed under the machines and serves as a support for the Cooler Boost 5 cooling system.
The MSI GE76 Raider features a keyboard backlit with RGB Mystic Light LED technology and an LED light bar placed along the front frame. The user can customize the 16.8 million color tones with SteelSeries Engine 3 software.

The least expensive machine in the range, the MSI GE76 Raider 11UG, has a 17.3-inch screen with QHD resolution, i.e. 2560 x 1440 pixels. Its refresh rate of 240 Hz helps to provide a fluid and realistic display to run the most demanding games.
The premium model of the range, the MSI GE76 Raider 11UH, benefits from a screen of the same size with this time a 4K Ultra HD resolution, i.e. 3840 x 2160 pixels. Combined with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, this 100% Adobe RGB IPS panel guarantees even more spectacular colors.
Each machine offers total sound immersion thanks to the Dynaudio system and Duo Wave speakers. They provide deep bass with perfectly tuned mids and octaves. The Hi-Res standard guarantees a faithful and realistic audio show to dive into the heart of its visual content. Nahimic technology optimizes 3D surround sound during a movie, video game, or voice conference.
Complete connectivity
The MSI GE76 Raider is designed to support all devices. The left side has a USB Type-A port, a USB Type-C port, and a combo jack. The right side has two more USB Type-A ports as well as an SD card reader.
The rear panel has a power input, an 8K / 60Hz and 4K / 120Hz compatible HDMI port, an RJ45 socket, a Mini Display 1.4 socket, and another USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 4 standard for super-fast transfer speeds. The MSI GE76 Raider can also be connected simultaneously to three external displays with an output resolution of up to 8K.

Equipped with Bluetooth 5.2 and the Wi-Fi 6E standard, the MSI GE76 Raider ensures a fast connection and foolproof fluidity, even in the case of a network shared by several users. They guarantee low latency during an online game and are compatible with the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi standard.
The RJ45 Killer Ethernet socket offers an even more precise internet connection to avoid unwanted slowdowns. The Killer Control Center allows you to manage the bandwidth yourself. Designed to share streaming content, the MSI GE76 Raider benefits from a webcam that displays clear and crisp images in Full HD. Multitasking is perfectly handled by 64 GB of RAM across the range.
A gaming experience boosted by the Intel Core i9 chip
The MSI GE76 Raider 11UH has an Intel® Core ™ i9-11980HK of 11th generation. A direct competitor of the AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS, it is the most powerful of the Intel range for laptops. It has 8 hyperthreaded cores, which operate at a frequency of 2.6 GHz. They can support a Turbo frequency on two cores and reach up to 5 GHz for a maximum gaming experience. Intel Turbo Max 3.0 technology offers more speed, power, and flexibility.
Less expensive but just as powerful, the MSI GE76 Raider 11UG is satisfied with the excellent 11th generation Intel® Core ™ i7-11800H chip. It has 8 hyperthreaded cores at 2.3GHz, which can climb to 4.6GHz with Turbo frequency. It offers performance equivalent to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor. Like the Intel® Core ™ i9-11980HK CPU, it features a 24MB cache which helps boost multitasking efficiency.
The most powerful RTX 3080 graphics card on a laptop PC
All MSI GE76 Raider range models have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series graphics card with multiple features. The new PCIe interface uses Resizable BAR technology to enable the Intel processor to improve GPU performance. The power of ray tracing offers a very immersive visual rendering during video games like Watch Dogs Legion. Deep Learning Supersampling, known as DLSS, pushes the frame rate to the max for impressive visual fidelity and sharpness. The Dynamic Boost 2.0 function allows you to continuously optimize the notebook PC by balancing the processor, graphics card, and graphics memory load.
The MSI GE76 Raider 11UH uses the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, the most powerful GPU available for laptops. It is equipped with a GDDR6 video memory of 16 GB. It can reach a boosted frequency of 1740 MHz and offer a maximum graphics power of 155W with Dynamic Boost.
The graphics card of the MSI GE76 Raider 11UG offers performance slightly below its counterpart. This is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 with 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory. Its boosted frequency reaches 1720 MHz, and its maximum graphics power climbs to 140W with Dynamic Boost.
