We’ve taken a close look at all the available information and found five major differences from the previous model in the 2021 MacBook Pro.
New appearance
The 2021 MacBook Pro has a completely different design, as reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in a recent Power On newsletter. Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo also confirmed this information, stating that the new laptop will have “flat” ends, roughly the same as the iPad mini 2021 or iPhone 13.
Forget about the touchpad
The Touch Bar is not coming back. In the 2021 MacBook Pro, we will see the familiar row of function keys again. The touchpad was introduced about five years ago, but most users still prefer to deal with the physical keys. This time Apple listened to their needs.
Return of MagSafe
Apple decided to bring wireless charging back to the 2021 MacBook Pro this year. Why mess with extra wires when many users already own a MagSafe universal charger?
New chipset
One of the highlights of the 2021 MacBook Pro is the 10-core M1X processor, an upgraded version of the familiar M1 chip. Apple is going to equip the laptop with two versions of the chipset – with 16 or 32 graphics cores. Naturally, a 32-core video card is perfect for solving tasks such as video editing.
Mini-LED screen
A few months ago, Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed that the new version of the MacBook Pro will have a mini-LED display. It has a number of advantages. With a very small thickness, it has a higher contrast and uses less power.
The MacBook Pro is Apple’s top-of-the-line laptop. The device is very popular due to its combination of powerful filling and slim design. The laptop was first introduced in 2006 and the Cupertino-based company releases a new model almost every year. These are some of the features that make this particular Apple laptop stand out.
